About me

I am 59 years old and have two sons and two daughters. I grew up in Brodick and while most of my life has been spent on Arran, I have also spent some years in London, Shetland, Wales and Mainland Ayrshire. I enjoy being outdoors, also playing and listening to music.

In 2008 I achieved a Diploma in Counselling from the College of Holistic Medicine (CHM) in Glasgow and have been seeing clients professionally since that time. I continued to study at CHM for an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (a BACP registered course) which I achieved in 2009. I am also trained in psychotherapy, relaxation and mindfulness.

In 2024, after a year’s apprenticeship, I was nominated by the Pagan Federation (Scotland) and became an approved celebrant with the National Records of Scotland.

I keep up to date with new developments and access support for my own journey and therapeutic development through regular peer group support and through the BACP.
